About Us

California DAR volunteering

The Santa Cruz Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized July 22, 1916. Meetings are held in the Monterey Bay area on the fourth Wednesday of every month from September to May. Chapter members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests, but all share a common bond of having an ancestor who helped contribute to securing the independence of the United States of America.

While George Washington was still President in 1791, this lovely land welcomed the Padres of early California to establish the twelfth mission, the Mission of the Holy Cross or Santa Cruz. It is in their honor that we named our chapter when we organized this chapter in 1916. We have been a viable organization in our community offering our services in all patriotic endeavors and memorial services, and giving recognition to outstanding members of our community both past and present.

If you are interested in joining our chapter or attending a chapter meeting, please contact Regent Ann Fay.
